Keep Animal Collective Series
Normally I am skeptical about bandshoe collaborations, but when you combine one of the premier indie groups of the day, and the consistently fresh stylings of Keep, we all win. Dropped on March 26, 2011, the Keep and Animal Collective line features four shoes, each designed by a different band member.
Many of you would also be pleased to learn that some proceeds will be going to the Socorro Island Conservation Fund. This organization is dedicated to protecting and preserving the unique ocean habitat of the Revillagigedo Archipelago, off the coast of Baja California, Mexico. To give you an idea of the splendor of this place, it is home to over 200 giant manta rays, and in the winter, 1200 humpback whales.
Turning back to the shoes, several of the designs feature (naturally) prints of ocean creatures. The Guerra has a trippy neon fish print, while the Ramos features a school of smiling sharks. The one that stands out is the Tobin Avey Tare Ghost, which is all white but with several abstract prints in blue and black. It’s also the one shoe that is unique to the rest of the Keep models.
You can get these at Keep, but you might want to hurry, as these are a limited release!

Wow, those look great. The Deakin Fish is incredible. Think I’ll get one of each.

These were my dream shoes in elementary.
