We’re very excited to feature some great new product from Cliff Belt‘s expanded lineup this spring. We’ve previously talked up their cork belts, a novel approach to vegan belt making which is also sustainable and quite handsome. They’re coming on stronger in 2014, with new belts, wallets, and now bags. [We’re souped about the messenger bag, but what about a backpack?] Before we go into the stuff, we have a few announcements for those interested in Cliff Belts:
- Cliff Belts will be at the ID Pop Up Shop in Chelsea Market, NYC, between February 3-9. They’ll be set up across from Amy’s Bread, so be sure to check them out and see them in person.
- Free shipping alert! enter VKICKFREESHIP for free shipping on any product listed below, good through March 31st.
Now, onto the good stuff
Owning one of these belts is like wearing a piece of New York City history! The metal rings are made from reclaimed New York City subway train poles – machined locally in the city and then replated in black nickel. The rest of the belt is a treated canvas with our signature Cork on the tips – comes in red and charcoal.
The Cork Crocodile Belt:
This unique belt is handmade in New York from sustainably harvested cork that has been pressed and textured to mimic crocodile – but totally vegan! 1.25″ in width, the Crocodile Belt has an all natural cork backing. The buckle is also totally detachable so you can change out your finish! Comes in red and brown.
The Messenger Bag:
The Cliff Belts messenger black is 100% cork, and the brown is treated canvas with cork accents. Both bags are lined in White Oak black denim. Water resistant and well organized, it features a large zippered pocket with three exterior pockets. The shoulder strap is adjustable and completely removable for the option to carry it as a briefcase. Comes in brown and charcoal.
