Hello VK nation! It’s taken forever but the weather is finally turning around here in New York. And now is the perfect time to give a big shout out to Vogas Barcelona. We ran into Vogas at the Renegade Craft Fair a while back, and they were so generous as to hook us up with a pair of their dope espadrilles. Since it was November back then, we put these on ice. When it was right, we took them out for a spin. Click below for more photos.
Recently, TOMS was awarded the Compassionate Business Award by PETA. But you say, TOMS isn’t even a vegan company?! They sell a lot of leather shoes! That’s exactly what we were thinking. PETA says “companies like TOMS are stepping up with vegan shoes and accessories to keep you cruelty-free from head to toe.” We were a little skeptical so we hopped on over to TOMS site and we were pleasantly surprised by their expanded collection of animal-friendly products. Before, they only had a few colorways of their now ubiquitous espadrille. Now they have a few different lace up sneakers and even a flip flop.
While we are still waiting for the day this undoubtedly good intentioned company goes fully cruelty free, we are comfortable sharing their current men’s vegan selection as of spring 2016. Womens’ styles to come in a separate post. Note that we are not showing all available colorways. For that, go here.
Though many people may not have heard of Swiss brand On, they offer some of the best running shoes on the market. All On shoes are 100% vegan and built from the ground up with their Cloud cushion technology. A name like “Cloud” comes with some lofty expectations, but we here at Vegan Kicks promise they will not disappoint. Whether you run several miles a day or spend a lot of time on your feet at work, the cloud technology offers tremendous cushion and support.
On offers several different models and a wide variety of colors, with options for those interested in bright, flashy shoes as well as those who prefer sticking to the basics.

We got another vegan offering from our friends from Saucony. Previously we featured a limited collection with BAIT, but now it appears that the Shadow is available in two cruelty free colorways. Uppers are all canvas, like the Jazz Low Pro and Bullet. They’re all good, hopefully Saucony will continue to expand their vegan shoe repertoire!
Both colorways (black and grey) – are available at Zappos.
Vegan Kicks recently had the pleasure of chatting with Marion Hanania, creator of vegan shoe brand Good Guys Don’t Wear Leather. If you are not familiar with Good Guys, you should definitely check them out. They offer a wide variety of fashionable shoes for men and women, all vegan and sweatshop free. They are a “PETA Approved Vegan” company and have received multiple awards from PETA for their good work – “Best Mens Shoes” and “Vegan Brand to Keep An Eye On in 2015.”
Without further ado, Marion:
Well, winter is here, isn’t it? The timing of this post is not coincidental. SNOWZILLAGEDDON has blanketed much of the east coast with a huge amount of snow and it’s a major wake up call to a lot of us, who are now looking out our windows and seeing a nice thick white carpet covering everything. Now comes the fun part – shoveling our driveways, digging out our cars, or trudging through the grey mush that will fill our streets for the next week. We all need to be prepared, and fear not, readers – vegan winter boot options are plentiful. See below for a few tasty selections sure to keep your feet warm and dry.
Hey there, just wanted to post some new styles of Onitsuka Tiger by Asics up here. Looks like there are a bunch of colorways available in the Ultimate 81 and the California 78. The black black colorway of the California 78 looks a lot like the Adidas Samba – a great vegan alternative to this popular shoe.
All colorways pictured here are available at Zappos.
What’s up squad. Today we’re looking at some footy wear for the little ones. We here are so used to sharing the kind of stuff we want to wear, but we know that a lot of you are looking after smaller human beings who can’t really buy things on their own. And you want to make the ethical choice for them as well – respect! So when we came across these kids shoes by Native, we were psyched. Mostly because they are exactly the same as the adult shoes, which we love.
A few weeks ago we joined our good friend Mike for an evening session with his Huf Classic Lo in Heather Grey. We hit up some spots around his hood and took some great photos. We want to thank Huf for hooking us up with this sample, and for more info on their vegan shoes, we did a recent roundup. Mike also wrote a short review for those who are interested in skating these. See below for more photos and words.
